How choosing works
A colour on a screen is never quite the colour on the door, so we don’t ask you to choose from one. At your free design visit Aaran brings the sample boards into the room the furniture will live in. You hold them against the wall, the carpet and the curtains, in your own daylight and under your own lamps, and the right choice soon becomes clear.
Sliding doors and panelling
Alongside the hinged doors above, there are sliding doors with aluminium frames in silver, champagne, black, graphite, gold, olive or sage, with board, mirror or glass panels, including smoked or reeded glass. They suit a wide run, or a room where a hinged door would catch the bed. Acoustic slat panels in oak and walnut tones work on a media wall, behind a bed or on the side of a run, and soften the sound of a room as well as the look of it.
Matt, supermatt and gloss
Matt has a soft, low sheen that hides fingermarks and reflections, which is why matt and supermatt suit a bedroom. Supermatt is flatter still, with a velvety feel to the hand. Gloss reflects light and lifts a small or dark room, at the cost of showing marks more readily. There are also woodgrain finishes with a texture you can feel.
Matching the carcase
The doors are only part of the picture. The carcase, the end panels and the fillers are made in a board finish, and many door colours have a matching board, so the sides and the inside carry the same colour as the front. Where there isn’t an exact match, we show you the boards that sit well with it.
Handles
Choose from bar handles, knobs, cup pulls and edge pulls, in finishes from brushed brass to matt black. If you would rather have no handle at all, the integrated-handle doors carry a slim brass or black lip along the edge instead.

Questions people ask
Can I see the samples before I decide?
Yes. We have no showroom, so the samples come to you. Aaran brings the door and colour boards to the design visit and you look at them in the room the furniture will live in, against your carpet, walls and light.
Where do shaker, fluted and slab doors sit on price?
Shaker, fluted and slab doors in a matt or supermatt finish sit in the middle tier.
What is the difference between edged and wrapped doors?
Edged doors are cut from board and finished with a tough 2mm edge, so they are crisp, hard-wearing and match the cabinets exactly. Wrapped doors have a vinyl finish pressed over a shaped door, which is how the shaker, panelled and fluted styles get their detail. Both are made to your sizes and fitted the same way.
Can I have a colour that isn't shown?
Often, yes. The edged colours here are the ones that match the wrapped colours, and more are available on request. Tell Aaran what you have in mind at the design visit and he'll bring what's possible.
Will the inside of the wardrobe match the doors?
It can. Many door colours have a matching board for the carcase, end panels and fillers, so the whole piece reads as one colour. If you would rather the inside stayed bright, choose a white or light board for the interior and keep the colour on the outside.
Is gloss harder to look after?
A little. Gloss bounces light around a room, which suits a small or dark bedroom, but it shows fingermarks and dust more readily than matt. Matt and supermatt wipe clean with a damp cloth and hide marks well.
