Who we are

Advanced Interiors is the trading name of A Garner, a sole trader (A Garner T/A Advanced Interiors). Postal address: 9 Pryor Road, Sileby, Leicestershire, LE12 7NS. VAT registration number: GB 412 0527 48. Email enquiries@advanced-interiors.co.uk, phone 07867 524331.

These terms cover every quote we send and every job we supply and fit. They’re written to be read, not to catch anyone out. Nothing in them takes away your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other law that protects you.

The free design visit

The design visit is free. Aaran comes to your home, measures the room, brings the samples and draws the design in 3D with you. Nobody at Advanced Interiors earns commission, so there’s no reason for us to push you, and you’re under no obligation.

The quote and the drawings

  • Your quote is one price for the furniture listed on it, supplied and fitted: every panel, plinth, cornice, handle and interior fitting named on the quote is included. It includes VAT.
  • The quote is based on the drawings and specification that come with it, and we supply only the units, materials, finishes and accessories listed there. Please check them carefully before you pay the deposit.
  • The drawings show the design; they aren’t to exact scale. If a small change to a size, layout or detail is needed to make the furniture fit and work properly, we may make it, as long as it doesn’t change the overall design, how it works or what we agreed. If a bigger change is needed, we’ll talk to you first.
  • The quote is valid for 30 days from the day it is sent. After that, ask and we’ll check the price and send a fresh one.
  • Unless it’s written on the quote, the price doesn’t include decorating or making good beyond the furniture itself, any mains electrical work, such as a new socket or spur for lighting or a fire, which is done by a qualified electrician and arranged and paid for separately, plumbing, gas or building work, or moving or disposing of your existing furniture.
  • If you change the design after accepting, we send an updated quote and, once you’ve agreed it, the new total applies.

Ordering and paying

  • You accept the quote on its own web page or by telling us in writing. Our contract starts when your deposit is paid: paying it confirms you accept these terms and secures your fitting date.
  • The deposit is 75% of the quote, due when you accept. We send an invoice by email, which you can pay by card, Pay by Bank or bank transfer. Once it has cleared we place your order and your furniture goes into production.
  • The 25% balance is invoiced when the fitting is complete and is due within 7 days of the invoice. Complete means the furniture is fitted and ready to use; any small snagging items that don’t stop you using it are put right afterwards and don’t hold up the balance.
  • If a payment is late, we may charge interest on the overdue amount at the rate the law allows, and we may pause any remaining work until it’s paid.
  • The furniture remains ours until it has been paid for in full. You’re responsible for looking after it once it’s fitted in your home.

Cancelling

Everything is made to measure for your room.

  • Before production starts, tell us as soon as you can. We’ll refund your deposit, less a reasonable amount to cover the design work, administration and any costs we’ve already paid out.
  • Once production has started, the furniture can’t be used anywhere else, so the deposit can’t be refunded, except where the law says otherwise.
  • If you accept at home or online, you may have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. It doesn’t cover goods made to your specification once production has started at your request.
  • In the rare case that we have to cancel your order, we’ll tell you as soon as we can and refund everything you’ve paid in full.

Lead time and delays

As a guide, fitting is usually 6 to 8 weeks from your go-ahead. We agree the fitting date with you as soon as the manufacturer confirms theirs. If a delivery or fitting is held up by something outside our reasonable control, we’ll tell you as soon as we know, do what we reasonably can to keep the delay short, and agree a new date with you. We aren’t liable for delays we didn’t cause, but we’ll always finish the job as soon as we practically can.

Before fitting day

So that we can fit safely and well, please:

  • Give us access between 8am and 6:30pm on the fitting days, unless we agree other times, with a clear route from the van to the room and somewhere to park nearby. Let us know about stairs, narrow doorways, flats or parking restrictions when you accept. We can’t work where the only way in is by ladder.
  • Empty the old wardrobes or units, move loose furniture and anything delicate out of the room, and take down pictures and mirrors on the walls we’re working against. If you’d like us to move heavy furniture, tell us beforehand. Old fitted furniture can be taken out by us if we agree it at the design visit and it’s on your quote.
  • Make sure any plumbing, gas, radiator or electrical work in the area is finished before we arrive, to a good standard, and that the walls we fix to are sound. Tell us about anything unusual in the room’s construction that you know of.
  • Let us use a normal 13A mains socket, free of charge.
  • Tell us before you make any change to the room after ordering, such as moving a radiator, adding a socket or laying a new floor, so the measurements still hold.
  • Someone over 18 needs to be at home at the start and end of each day.

Fitting day

  • We cover the floors, work tidily, take all packaging and offcuts away, then clean down and hoover the room, leaving your new furniture ready for you to enjoy.
  • Every filler and end panel is scribed by hand to your walls and ceiling on site, which is what makes a fitted job look right. We take care of your home, but scribing to uneven walls can leave a few light marks, so some touching up may be needed afterwards. For that reason we suggest decorating after the fitting rather than before. We aren’t responsible for small, unavoidable marks of this kind where we’ve taken reasonable care.
  • For practical and safety reasons, parts over 2500mm long may include a join.

Colours and finishes

We match colours, finishes and woodgrains to the samples as closely as we can. Colours can look different under different light, and woodgrain finishes vary naturally from board to board. Variations like these aren’t faults.

The guarantee

Our guarantee is 10 years on carcases, 7 years on doors, fitted by us. It covers faults in how the furniture was made and in how we fitted it, for example a carcase that fails or a door that drops or warps under normal use in the home. Hinges and drawer runners are covered for the full 10 years as part of the carcase. It doesn’t cover misuse or overloading, damage from water, damp or heat, normal wear, changes in colour from sunlight, or anything altered, moved or repaired by someone other than us. It is for you as the original customer, in the home the furniture was fitted in, and doesn’t pass to a new owner if the house is sold. To make a claim, email us with a photo or two; we’ll come and look, and repair or replace the part at no cost to you. Your legal rights sit alongside the guarantee, not under it.

If something goes wrong

Tell Aaran as soon as you can, by phone, WhatsApp or email, and we’ll come and look. We’ll aim to put it right there and then. If you’re still unhappy, put it in writing to enquiries@advanced-interiors.co.uk and we’ll reply within 5 working days with what we’ll do. If we can’t settle it between us, Citizens Advice can give you free, independent advice.

Our responsibility to you

  • Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
  • Otherwise, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was a foreseeable result of us breaking this contract. We aren’t responsible for indirect losses that weren’t foreseeable when we agreed the job.

If either of us can’t carry on

If you become bankrupt or insolvent, or make an arrangement with your creditors, we may end the contract, stop work and keep payment for the work done and costs reasonably incurred up to that point.

The rest

  • These terms, your quote and its drawings are the whole agreement between us.
  • If any part of these terms is found not to be valid, the rest still applies.
  • These terms and any job we do are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will deal with any dispute.
